WHO IS LEADER IN GROUP DISCUSSIONS
Basically, Group discussion is the first stage of selection. as most candidates believe the person conducting the group discussion tries to ascertain certain qualities.
Which have been outlined in this book .As a matter of fact, one cannot discuss or converse on matters about which one has no idea .The aim of this book is to equip the reader

What is group discussion? Well a group discussion is a normal conversation among a group of individuals; since the conversation is related to a particular topic Hence the word group discussion. However there are many misconceptions regarding group discussions and it is essential to remove these, before one proceeds to a group discussion
At the same time, having a sound and brief knowledge about the topic is also prerequisite.
When you observe a group discussion we can divide the participants in to three different bodies.
1) Dummies
Dummies are attend the group discussion but they are not participate. when you observe the feeling of them you find that they are dummies,Neither they raise the topic nor prologue the existing one. The dummy can not open the mouth until you ask them.
2) Voters
Voters simply agrees / disagrees the topic raised by the leaders , they can express their own views and points regarding the existing topic .voters try to add the matter to the topic.
3) Leaders
Leaders always raise the topic , they are the enthusiastic persons in the group discussion. All the views of the persons are on the leaders only.in this way they gain the marks in the GD. Some times the leaders uses the dummies to gain the points as the leader find the dummies in the discussion and suddenly
They turns the topic to the dummies and dummies cant know about it simply they stop the topic or they agree the leaders.
How to become a good leader in Group Discussion
When you are in a group discussion always tries to starts the topic from you. And argue on the topic with confidence and you should be enthusiastic while participating in the group discussion. After the short discussion while participating in the group find the dummies, voters and leaders of the group discussion. After your discussion on a topic asks dummies about the opinion on your topic or asks them to agree on your topic. In those situations dummies always agree on your topic because they are dummies they might don’t know about the topic and simply they say “yes I agree”. So you will get the points.
When you attend a group discussion you should be like a leader and you follow the below given points.
• You should be aggressive
• You should speak more
• You should speak in favor
• You should cut down your opponents
• You should make others agree to your point
• You should be an individual speaker
• You should be project yourself in style
